Denim

We offer numerous services for patching up denim by hand or machine, whether you want an invisible patch up or visible mending techniques. Please feel free to bring in a reference picture if there is a specific type of finish or method you are after.

Patch-up and repair

High-stress areas of jeans are prom to tears or thinning of fabric, we can reinforce the areas from behind and then using a machine apply denim clour darning thread to increase durability.

Taking in on the waist

The first thing is to jeans snugly at the centre back and pin them in place with safety pins, chalk the back to ensure it is even, carefully unpick the back and cut the waistband (don’t worry the back belt hoop will hide the seam) then resew together matching the original seems types.

Shortening

Many customers opt for our classic hemming service, and then through washing allow their jeans for the roping and fading of the hem to return through wash cycles, whilst others opt to have the original hem inserted back on the jeans (as pictured), not a technique for the denim purists.
